MTCRA members can help you with your first steps.
The National Court Reporters Association is actively looking to educate and help students enter the field. The best way to start is to see if you would enjoy learning the unique skill of writing on a steno machine. To do this, we would suggest that you take the free A to Z Intro to Steno Class. You can do this online or with a reporter from Montana. MTCRA will even provide you a steno machine to try it out.
