As a member of MTCRA, you help support the organization that works for you and your profession, specifically on Montana-related issues. MTCRA’s strategic plan is to promote Professional Development, Education, Awareness and Outreach, Advocacy, Resources, and Member Value. What benefits are you missing out on by not being a member? 1. CEU Discount:

The profession of court reporting is constantly evolving. To future-proof your career, it is important to remain current with the advancements of technologies affecting the court reporting industry. As a member, you receive a discount to the MTCRA conventions, where the convention board members strive to bring important issues to you.  Plus, in 2017, you have an additional opportunity to receive CEUs via an MTCRA webinar.

2. Supply Discount:

Members now receive 10% discount when purchasing supplies through Pengad. How much do you spend on supplies each year? If you spend $400 a year, that’s half the cost of membership.

3. Membership Directory:

You will have access to the online Membership Directory which includes the credentials and listing of services offered by each member. The Directory is a valuable tool that provides a statewide listing of the membership. As a member in MTCRA, you automatically get a free listing in our annual Membership Directory, a marketing opportunity that will pay for your membership.

5. Legislative:

During the legislative sessions, MTCRA’s Legislative Committee keeps members informed regarding issues affecting the court reporting profession.

You will have access to any job postings as they are submitted.

MTCRA has a variety of committees, providing multiple opportunities to be engaged in the advancement of our profession. When you volunteer, it is a win-win situation. The association as a whole benefits, and the member gains a wonderful networking opportunity.

No one understands court reporting issues and stresses better than other court reporters. Getting connected with other court reporters can be one of the best tools to help you and your career.
